advent
The coming.Welcoming.
Arrival.
And so we celebrate His coming every time we move that little magnetic gingerbread man around the circular calendar. But not just His initial coming in the form of a little cherub lying in a manger.
His coming regularly, into us. Our minds.
Our hearts.
Ourselves.

As usual, love how you delve into the deeper meaning of things.
And I've never had an advent. I am vowing to get one in the after Christmas sales this year.
Beautifully said.
So true. Loved this simple, honest post.
You used a few words to say so very much. Thank you for your post.
Merry Christmas!
I really like this. So few words for such a strong message. Thanks.
You said it all.
Oh I love that. It tickles my heart in the sweetest way.
Ah! At first I thought you were referring to a missionary homecoming, how dense am I?! :) Yes, we busted out one of our manger scenes tonight for FHE, despite some squabbling, there were a few moments of tree-lit bliss.
Beautifull put.
I haven't seen a circular calendar - but I like the image you paint.
It's so true--the anticipation is where it's at. (Did you get the online advent calender I sent? It's so darn English and fun but I love your gingerbread guy, too.)
Wow.
Sometimes your very few words make my brain ache, because I think about it so much, then my brain goes deeper.
And I love it.
Thank you.
I'm trying so hard to invite Him in for all the days of my life--not just the season.
Merry Christmas, Kazzy. God bless.
