road trip day 10: cuddling a baby makes everything better

My beautiful sister (only one) is twelve years younger than me, so I have been enjoying her young ones, and especially this little handsome devil. Rocking, diaper changing, snuggling... all in the Auntie Kazzy repertoire.

It was a good day of swimming and BBQing, again, and I enjoyed more time with the extended family. The fireworks at night were very elaborate, as it seems most men on the block spent a small fortune on the "good stuff". The only mishap was when Tom, down the street, lit a multi-fused mortar which tipped over and shot right up against the house across the street, exploding. Nobody was hurt, and no property damage could be seen, so all was well.

A letter from my missionary son capped off a nice day. He is the one on the right, in case you were wondering.

Tomorrow, since my kids are staying at their cousins' for a few days, my parents are taking us to the Blue Ridge Restaurant where we will each eat our own weight in crabs.

Sweet dreams.

You can sure tell you are sisters - both of you are beautiful!

It sure doesn't get much more fun than playing with a cute little baby. You probably took care of your sister when she was a baby and now you are playing with her babies - Love it!

Crab-sounds-sooooo-yummy!

Seeing fireworks malfunction with no fatalities...a bonus!

Playing with the baby...priceless!

After eating your weight in crab legs, eat just one more for me! Thanks!

Family, power outages AND a baby? Sounds like too much fun to me!
