road trip day 14: eden

I posted some of these on Facebook last night, but I thought I would put a few up here before I drift off. We leave for the Outer Banks at 6 am (4 and a half hours from now), and we just got home from the airport where we picked up #1 and his bride.

It is humid and green and lush here, but the internet is shotty and the power goes out with a strong wind. Would you take the trade off?

I remember all the green, but I don't miss all the humidity. I'll take the mountains and the dry air.

I LOVE it that you're posting all along the road!! That's a part of the country I didn't get to on my road trip! It's really, really beautiful.
