road trip day 1

Sitting in North Platte, Nebraska at a taco shop so I can use the wifi. Great day today, made good time, and laughed a lot. Pounding, bruising rain once we hit Nebraska, but we were all surprised at how green Wyoming was.
The Motel 6 leaves a bit to be desired, but all is well. On the road again in the morning as we head to Missouri.
Great ladies.

FUN! Love it. Staying in crappy motels is part of the fun of a road trip, or it should be, anyway. :)

Oh, I wish I had known you were even thinking about a Motel 6. That is the ghetto of all motel chains. I could have/should have helped you make a better choice. Stayed there about 3 months ago and I think I would rather sleep in my van down by the river than to stay at a Motel 6 ever again!

That's what surprised me most about going to Illinois, Missouri, et al right about this time last year--green green green!

I'm jealous. Road trips are great bonding opportunities...even the roadside diners and cheap motels. Hooray for wifi!
