day 173: cool gospel knowledge

Sharing Time today...

Valiant 12 class comes to the podium to explain the experience of Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane.

A:  It was so hot in there that Jesus sweat blood!  That's how hot it was!

Boy #4 (quietly and red-faced, because he is shy):  Actually He sweat drops of blood because He was suffering for all the sins of the world.

Me (subbing for music leader, thinking to myself):  Thank you, thank you.  it's sinking in.

First. I am always excited when I am first.
that was kinda funny ---but eventually, with much repetition, they finally get it. One, little, child, at, a, time.

I love when those things happen. Good for him. I was asked yesterday (as chorister) if Jesus' spirit still walked the earth haunting people. I tired to correct the misconception the best I could, but I'm not sure he understood.

Who is A? Hopefully A learned something that day, too!

Emma keeps praying that everyone will be good so Jesus won't die. Sometimes she gets sniffly when she says it. Fills my heart and also breaks it a little...

They do get it. My kids continually surprise me with their comments.

I love that #4 or yours.

Sounds like we both had a great day subbing in primary this week.
