little comforts

We all have something that helps to get us through a rough patch. Sometimes it is a deep connection to someone, sometimes it is a song, and sometimes even food.

My husband was my helpmeet yesterday. It was a tough day for me. No details here, but I will just say I am trying to find my way in certain areas. I get defensive and frustrated and need someone to tell me I am alright. Without trying to sound too dramatic, Geo really saved me.

But on a normal, slower, more regular day, we need smaller, littler comforts. Here is one of his. See it there, with its front row, center seat on the couch?

What is one of your little comforts?

Bubble baths. That's definitely the first thing that comes to mind. Probably because I'm cold...

So glad Geo was there to help you through a tough time. What would we do without these amazing guys of ours?

Chessy, but true... he is my biggest cheerleader.

ha ha! I totally saw a box of dots in his coat pocket in class on Friday. lol.

My husband, a good book, and sleep are my little comforts.

My hubby has been quite the comfort to me too lately- and I'm grateful. As for other little comforts: a blanket I've had since high school, a stash of chocolate, a really good novel, a pedicure!

Diet Pepsi, Chocolate Cover Cinnamon Bears, Tears and Hugs!

Then I feel like I can conquer the world. Gotta love the Cheerleaders in our lives. Couldn't make without them :)

I have to confess your blog is one of my little comforts. Always helps me keep things in perspective. But popcorn helps, too. And flowers.

One of the most calming things in the world for me is when Eden sits on my lap for a long time without crying. She's just so happy that I'm holding her and that's all she wants. It makes me feel really important.

Thanks, Marianne.

And Melanie, you are important, but it is great when we get that feeling from taking care of our kids, huh?

I hope you have a better day, and hope it wasn't a school issue to get you down.
Just give me my cheese puffs, haven't found any yet.

You have a good man. It's good he's there for you so you can vent your frustrations!

I think you know mine. Peanut M&Ms BABY, Oh Yeah!

music and peanut butter m&m's, which I can't have right now. Since I am working to drop a few pounds. I ate to many "Large" bags of M&M's.

I'm glad you have a good husband (with his box of Dots) to help you through rough patches. I hope you are doing better!

I love watching movies cuddled up on the couch with my own comforting husband, especially after a long, rough day, and sometimes even when I know I should be up doing things on my long list. It feels like such an indulgence, but a necessary one.

A good book and my iPod.

Sometimes, it really IS the little things.

Any English Chocolate is my comfort... I guess because it takes me back to my childhood. Hubby sometimes picks me some up and I could just kiss him. :)
