road trip day 6: lake michigan

While Geo spent the afternoon going out to the west suburbs to visit a former student, Cindy and I spent time at the Lake Michigan beach with our kids. Warm sunny skies and soft sand made it a great day.

Tomorrow we are off for a 13-hour drive to VA. It will be good to plow through and just get there. So good to spend these few days with my good friend. I think it is so crucial to keep ties with people who have known you a long time (in this case 27 years, since we roomed together at BYU).

Your boys are so silly. Love it. How nice to break up your loooooong trip with a good visit with an old friend. Perfect!

It looks like a perfect vacation.
If the boys are smiling and cuttin' up like that it's perfect.

How long is your trip going to be?

Catch some lightening bugs! Love them!

Be safe and have a blast.

Looks like a great day at the beach. I bet the hours just flew by catching up on all the news.

That is a long time friendship. Taking time to be with friends can help us fill our love tank as well as give us a chance to fill theirs.

And even more perfect that you could spend the time with an old friend.
