And Martin Luther King Day, which guarantees me a long weekend every year to celebrate!

When I typically get the winter blues is FEBRUARY. When all the snow turns brown but refuses to melt and the sky holds that oppressive inversion layer over everyone's heads. When T.S. Eliot said "April is the cruelest month" I think he had mentally blocked-out February! :)

And I love that you just put a red stripe in your hair! Awesome! You deserve an element of fun right now!charrettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16351177033783487168noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-585748112633478360.post-50006168340552249442008-12-26T13:49:00.000-07:002008-12-26T13:49:00.000-07:00That is funny. I caught Scott staring at the top of my head yesterday during church. I asked him what he was looking at and he said, "I'm just wondering what you would look like with a cool red stripe."

I was staring at my hair again a few minutes later, so I asked him "now what?" He said he was just checking out my little sprigs of grey hair. Hinckley specifically referred to them in a conference talk--um, not hers, multiple piercings in general) and now he is stake president so it looks like her obedience was a form of punishment. I think it would be so hard to be either a bishop's wife or a stake president's! Good thing that isn't going to happen to me. At least, I feel quite sure it won't. Or, if it does, I will be old and wrinkled and past the need for fads and fashions. Either that, or dead.Heidihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12660156433881882098noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-585748112633478360.post-24417542764219999752008-12-21T19:45:00.000-07:002008-12-21T19:45:00.000-07:00Kazzy, you're beautiful. Even if just for a little while, it's still fun!

I do get the blues, it's no secret. And the cold and dreary Minnesota weather doesn't help too much.

But I'm trying really hard to keep it at bay. Utah's grey skies through January and February were terrible for that! I guess that's one way the southwest is nice--no real cold weather. But it comes at a price, because WE GET NO SPRING!Erinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16834698878925001382noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-585748112633478360.post-63706869902907207402008-12-20T12:51:00.001-07:002008-12-20T12:51:00.001-07:00OH, and I second Lisa's comment. :)OH, and I second Lisa's comment. :)Heidihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12660156433881882098noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-585748112633478360.post-61631252356769414372008-12-20T12:51:00.000-07:002008-12-20T12:51:00.000-07:00YES! I always feel like such a wimp since I live in California and CAN GO to the beach whenever I want (well, it is a two hour drive from here) but the short sunless days have the same affect on me as ones that are snowy. Plus, 40 degrees is as cold for us hot house flowers as 25 is for you guys. I love your family picture--you are beautiful, and you are even skinnier now then you were then! So looking forward to Monday's post--can't wait!Heidihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12660156433881882098noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-585748112633478360.post-15411048142113090162008-12-20T11:57:00.000-07:002008-12-20T11:57:00.000-07:00What a great family picture!
