Those children could have greatly benefited from your skills and love as a teacher. wendyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13619293936418976914noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-585748112633478360.post-88362152553593691722013-08-19T12:15:32.148-06:002013-08-19T12:15:32.148-06:00Early intervention saved our son and allowed him t...Early intervention saved our son and allowed him to be in a regular classroom. I don't get why there has to be stigma in the first place. Seems like they are the only ones placing a stigma in the first place. That in my opinion is what is wrong with our society. It starts with us moms. I could go on and on. Because, I believe strongly in early intervention, which will make a difference years from now. I know how hard you all work, and I know how wonderful your program was when Alice was in your class. It's so nice to know that when my kids are in school, away from me, that they are loved and cared for. As for the stigma of special ed, I agree with Miss Connie. On the other side though, I also know how hard it can be for a parent to admit their kids are a little less than perfect. I hope these kids get what they need somewhere along the way!Foreverhjahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03602556311073201189noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-585748112633478360.post-49599434252395794982013-08-16T10:36:56.543-06:002013-08-16T10:36:56.543-06:00If only the parents could understand how important...If only the parents could understand how important early intervention is. What will be worse is when their child is in 2nd grade, struggling to keep up and then have "the stigma of special ed" follow them around. <br />You're a great teacher. Excited for your new year!
