We had planned to drive to California for fall break, but, alas, the flu -- both here and there -- is keeping us at home.
I love living life like that! Looks like you had fun together wherever you went!
We had planned on going on an overnighter, but my son had a big scout camp out, and I had class, and our ward boundaries changed so my husband for sure has to be in church Sunday, etc, etc, etc. So we just went for a nice drive in the mountains and then went out to eat.
Family time is family time, wherever and whenever you get it!
