green on my walk

With my beloved Zumba on hiatus, I took to the road today, walking my stake boundaries. I try and do that with an open mind and heart so that I can get inspiration and peace for my church calling as stake young women president.

When I walk with a purpose my breathing is different. I have silent prayers and then a little conversation with myself. Decent company most of the time. I wish I had pulled out my ear buds and stopped to talk to the 2 blonde girls talking in that front yard. Probably a real missed opportunity there. Next time.

Shared protein shakes with neighbor friends on the front porch as we talked about movies and kids and being CEOs at home.

A life with no reflection is not worth living.

Beautiful. I especially loved the path through the trees and the children playing in the stream. Thank you for sharing. :)

Love your pictures! There's something about walking alone, clearing the mind, communicating with Deity and enjoying the company that makes life worth living.

I've been going out early in the mornings to walk and it is the best time of the day. All is quiet, cool breeze, sprinklers on, sun coming up over the mountain..

Green means growth and you are growing in all sort of ways. Lovely pictures and thoughts.

What a nice, refreshing post. I went on a walk myself this morning, but southern Utah has gotten hot and brown/red (no green). I love the pictures.

Oh man Stake YW Pres. Now there is a calling for you. I bet you are awesome with all the young women and all the leaders.

I would certainly think that you would need moments - lots of them - to think and reflect and find direction.

The path through the tree's looks very inspiring.

I miss green so much. Love your photos, and happy to hear that you are not taking your surroundings for granted.

LOVE the green shots!

I also love your capacity to reflect on yourself and to yourself. I admire your positive attitude and your ability to see so much good in your life! SO inspiring to the girl with the half-empty glass!!
