Musical Monday: Hometown Glory
I heard Adele's Hometown Glory. I totally fell in love. All within 24 hours. And I knew I had to sing it.Some of the people I thought of when I heard these lyrics will never ever read a blog. They will never check email or visit facebook, or even read the paper online. They are the sentinels of the neighborhood. The old women that have raised families here. The ones who have buried husbands at the local cemetery. The ones that chose to stay through these 65 years since our houses were built. They are women I have visited with questions and looked to as examples. They are the wonders of my world.

Great song. I'd never heard it before. I think I like it!
Kaz...SO beautiful. Thanks. :)
I haven't heard this one before. I really like the song, and you did it beautifully.
I'm still waiting for the Karen Catalog with quick links to the music.
I went ahead and put the link back in. Just click on the song title in the post.
But the mp3 player will be up all week too on the sidebar.
I am still testing out how I want the layout to work, but enough people have asked for the link, so for now I will do both.
Anything with music in it and I am here. Very nice.
You were born to sing that song. Complete and total professional quality.
Techno- welcome.
Heidi- thanks. my range totally. and I am a sucker for the style. i bow down to adele. :)
I love that Adele, but I love you more. Great cover!
I love that song. It's been one of my favorites for a while now! If you haven't already, you should check out some Fine Frenzy songs (such as Hope for the Hopeless). I think some of them would work great with your voice. You're so talented!
Your voice is so gorgeous...
Thanks, Barb. I kinda daydreamed all day at work today about sluffing school and coming home to lock the door on the den and do more recording. It is my outlet.
Again-so great. I'm never not in the mood to listen to her music.
I loved it!
Wow Karen...I can't think of a single song you've shared with us that is quite as poignant, and quite as suited to you and your voice as this. Wondrous.
Hearing your voice always chokes me up. Tear.
Lovely, as ALWAYS!!
Thanks for sharing your gift with us...I really enjoy listening to you each week.
I just downloaded this song off of iTunes a couple of weeks ago. It is a beautiful one, and I love your version!
