day 350: winding down
On August 19, 2009 I made the commitment to blog everyday for a year, in recognition of my first year as a special education teacher. It was a sometimes a snap and sometimes like getting blood out of a rock. With all of this in mind, I must say it has been a year of self-discovery. I started blogging in January 2008, so I was not new to it when I started my 365. But nothing could have really prepared me for the ride it has been.
It has changed the way I anticipate and then evaluate my day.
It has changed how I think about my relationships.
It has brought me so many new friends that have become important to me.
And now I have 15 days left until I hit my goal. Time to re-evaluate again, and to decide on my routine as I am winding down. I may have become too hooked on it to give it up as a daily ritual. I will have to wait and see.

That is amazing, Karen. I knew you have been blogging regularly, but I didn't realize it was daily for a year.
It brought you to me. Anything else is just icing!
I agree with you that blogging everyday changes your perspective. I myself have found that to be true and I haven't even hit day 30. I know that I look much closer to those little things that make our days more meaningful and I am more willing to share them in hopes that someonelse will be inspired or lifted in some way. I have truly enjoyed your advendutres, although I met you on day 300-something, I hope you continue. Thanks.
I'm grinning a little because the 19th is my birthday.
I'm grinning a lot because of the sweet perspective you have on blogging, and the gift you've given us all in sharing yourself, daily. I'd be awfully sad if you stopped/slowed down.
Daily blogging would make everything relevant. It would really make one aware of all aspects of living....well done...that is commitment!
You have a great perspective on life. It's fun that you share it every day. Don't know how you did it, with all you've had going, but you did! That truly is commitment.
I've gotta say that I can't imagine getting into my reader and NOT seeing a post from you:)
If you are used to blogging every day it will take adjusting to stop that routine. I for one really like your posts and am so glad I found your blog.
blogging has changed my life also. I have truly enjoyed your everyday posting.
I've been so impressed with your daily blogging. Always so full of thought, too.
I always look forward to your daily thought. It always makes me think and evaluate.
This was an awesome goal. I have enjoyed it! And will continue to enjoy your blog however you decide to run it. :)
I'll miss you if you cut back. I've enjoyed your musings!
