day 353: beach day on utah lake
We ditched yard work today, packed up the cooler, and headed to Utah Lake for the afternoon. It was just what we needed.
Nobody looks good in this one. We were trying to fit into the frame, and the sun and wind were working against us.
Wind and sun. Photo enemies.

Did it make you miss your boat?
Bill and the kids often lament the loss of our boat. I miss the fun we had.
But then I remember all the work, and I get over it.
We'll have to try a day trip sans boat sometime. I think I'd like that better. Thanks for the inspiration.
I love those kind of days, where you just forget the world and focus on the most important things in life--being together and family :)
ps: no I did not take that particular picture, but that is what it is like going onto I-80 from the 201 on ramp looking west over the Great Salt Lake. Absolutely breath taking!
I think the photos look great. You are all together. What could be better?
Sounds like a great day - even with the wind :)
Everybody looks healthy and happy....nothing as good as a family outing and a day of fun together....
Looks like fun. Grab it while you can, before #3 and #4 have flown the nest!
It's all about the happy. Love it.
How I miss the water! Seven years living on an island in the middle of Lake Washington (and ten minutes' drive to the Puget Sound waterfront) followed by four years living in the caribbean - have made the last nine years in Las Vegas one big exercise in lamentation and moisturizing!
Sun and wind aside, it looks like a wonderful time! :)
And congrats on your new calling, I know you'll be amazing!
Beach days are the best. Wind and sun may not help with looks, but they do wonder for the soul!
I totally agree. Last week we tried to take pictures at the beach, but I was either squinting or there were shadows on my face, and the wind messed up my hair. At least the kids look cute no matter what.
What are you talking about? These photos are da bomb!
Looks like a great day. :)
