day 364: winding up the year
Tomorrow will mark a year of blogging every single day. It has been a good ride and I have enjoyed it much more than anticipated. There are some things I have learned, and learned hard, this year that I would like to share with you.1. Women can build relationships with people they have never met in person.
2. I feel really good when I am keeping track of my life through writing.
3. It has been fulfilling to make connections beyond my current friendships.
4. Common interests and experiences are what bind us.
5. Writing is a way to find out more about myself.
6. I am grateful for my own problems.
7. There are a lot of people much smarter and funnier than I am.
8. I thrive on singing much more than I ever realized.
9. My capacity to empathize has grown.
What started out as a challenge to myself has shaped the way I think about my day. It has brought great new people into my life. And it has been a major plus to my growth as a human being. Thanks to everyone who has pitched in and made a connection here. I am a better person for writing and getting acquainted with all of you.
Back tomorrow.

You need to throw yourself a huge party tomorrow!
And I can't tell you how funny it was to click on DeNae's blog and see a picture of you there. I was pretty disoriented, but I get easily confused first thing in the morning too...
I hope you're going to continue blogging!
Daily can be a grind, but I tell ya, I am hooked.
And funny about DeNae's blog! Yeah, we had a great visit. I love her.
And I'm so glad you did it! Yours is one of my favorite reads. Thanks.
I've loved spending this year with you.
I'm glad you've enjoyed it. I know how you love to challenge yourself.
And I just realized I didn't answer a question you asked. Bill is in; let us know when you're ready.
What awesome things to learn! And I've loved being part of that.
Way to go! It has been fun to read.
Way to go, Kazzy! That is awesomesauce!! I like how you elucidated exactly what you've learned through daily blogging. If only I could convince all of my non-blogger friends to join us, now...
an amazing accomplishment! I enjoy the blogging world immensely because it is so removed from my daily life yet it contributes so much to it. I hope you will continue to be part of our daily read......
Did you know that you and I share a love for the Philadelphia Story? "CK Dexter Haven! Oh, CK Dexter Haven!" (Happy b-day to Kim!)
So another year? What do you say?
Although I came in around Day 300-something I am glad I have gotten to meet you (even though it through the computer). Thank you for sharing. Keep on sharing, You are awesome!
I have read almost every single entry you've written in the last year. It's been good to read. :) Congratulations about reaching your goal! (Almost) :)
I was just telling D last night that you are almost done with your year-long challenge, and that I hope you'll keep doing it, even though the year is up. I, just one of the apparent many, am so glad you've been here!!
It is an accomplishment you should be proud of. It has let me see the many sides of Karen Mello Burton and the woman she has become. You are a pioneer in your own right and you continue to forge ahead through life's obstacles. Congratulations Karen!
I feel like I know you so well. I love your posts. They give me hope that when I finally get through these "diapers and dirty dishes" days that I can start thinking deeply again.
Great observations, Kazzy and congrats on one year!
Wow! A year! I am grateful to have found you and your beautiful words.
