teaming up
As a teacher, one of my favorite words has become "collaboration". We combine ideas to do what is best for each child in our care. It is crucial. It has also made me think about people that helped to shape me during my youth. Some of those people are/were:Robert Mello
Helena Mello
Mary Pereira
Mrs. Rice
Jim Council
Bruce Knudsen
Benny Knudsen
Willa Knudsen
Karen Green
Karen Mattes
Sheila Reese
Jennifer Lovell
Robert J. Mello
David Mello
Tony Mello
Jennifer Atkinson
Sara Fiotto
Now my kids are at the point where the collaboration that has happened in their lives is noticeable, even by them. On the way to cello on Monday, #4 said, Mom, Megan is more like my friend that also happens to be my teacher. So true, son. And this is the way we should feel about everyone who pitches in on our lives.

Awesome!
Very true.
Yes it does take a village and I'm grateful to those who have contributed somehow to the lives of my children
Very thoughtful. Great way with words. Thanks for making me thankful again today. To allow me to think about my "collabrorates"
That's how I felt about my piano teacher. I think it makes all the difference in the world if you like the person who is teaching you.
Such a good reminder for right now as school begins. I just got my girls' teacher assignments and I am already contacting Bria's teacher because she has unique needs. I've never done that before, but I have only just started to realize how important my role is in her learning at school.
That is good teaching with your son. Nice pictures too.
True that!
You are lucky to have such a cool name. Kazzy Mello. (Burton). That's an author name if I ever heard one. It's almost as good as Sadie Starling. ;)
What a lovely tribute.
What a good kid! He understands it too!
It's fun to think about the people who make you what you are today!
Such a cutie. I've done that job for nearly 30 years, and I can say firsthand, rapport is everything. It's so great that your son has found that with his teacher.
