Musical Monday: Sunrise

I could say I did this song in celebration of daylight savings time, but that would be an after-the-fact thought.  Truth is, I just like Norah.  I think she is cool, and that she has a great vibe to her music.

So, hop on over to the sidebar and give a listen.

Thanks.

Almost makes me want to get up early to see the sunrise. Almost. Maybe I'll just stay up and watch it from the night side.

Nice job!

I LOVE this song!! Nora is a big favorite around here, too. I am really glad I found your blog, Kazzy. It has been so rewarding to read your posts and listen to your musical Monday selections! (I usually play them all week.)

Thanks, Amber. Nora is cool, huh? I appreciate your support!

I'm just floored. I love that song. Love Norah and am waaaay loving you singing that song!

Nice. Mellow and relaxing. We should do a little Norah duet sometime. Of course, we'll need to rework something to make it a duet, but why not? :)

I adore Norah Jones (and you too!).

Luann | March 15, 2010 at 1:58 PM

Yup. I'm totally diggin' the vibe.

Me too Luann, I love it.

You know I love your voice. Never an off key moment...smooth as butta.

When are you gonna sing me a Lola song? (and then tell me how to put it on my blog?)

You have a gift.
Did any of the kids inherit your singing voice?

Kazzy | March 15, 2010 at 7:44 PM

That is sweet, Lola, but of course I hear lots of mistakes. "should have been a little gentler here." "should have come in cleaner there."

My younger two sons are in the awkward voice stage, but my adult sons are fab singers. Husband sings too, so we enjoy doing harmony together.

You?

That was so nice. Norah has such a soothing voice. So do you.

I love Norah but I have never heard this one before. Very pretty!

What a happy, up-beat song! You did it beautifully!

Lola Sharp | March 16, 2010 at 8:55 PM

OH NO. No one needs to hear me sing.
My husband and daughter are even more tone deaf than I. But we have fun singing poorly anyway.
