musical monday: the house that built me

After a long day, including 3 hours of my own church, and then 4 hours in other meetings, I came home, put on my plaid flannel night shirt and stood in front of the mic.  It felt good and right.

This is for Charlene.

That's amazing.
But, next time I want to see you on youtube.....with your plaid flannel nightshirt!

LOL There is a definite reason I don't video myself singing. The mystery makes the recording more palatable.

Your voice is like liquid gold. Seriously, of all the gifts I wish I had...

But if I could choose someone to have it instead, it would be you! xo

I am listening as I write this and what a beautiful song. I wish I had a hundreth of your talent. Thanks for sharing!

Wait. Is this your first country song? As always, you sang it beautifully.

I'm a closet country fan. (Don't tell Scott.) I can't help it. Country music reminds me of my Kansas roots, especially when it's a song about nostalgia, like this one.

Oh, how I miss Grandma's house.

Oh, the loveliness. I don't know why you're not a ROCK STAR by now.

So, did you write that? Do you write a lot of your own songs? Can I download them into my itunes? How, how how?

Gorgeous, Kazzy! So pretty and that song knocks me out.

Ha! I thought the title of your post said "Magical Monday". It still fits.

I feel so bad that I haven't been here to listen to your singing for so long. Trying to forgive myself . . .

It blows my mind how you do that. I mean, sing so many different styles so beautifully. I love it.

Beautifully done! You have such a rich voice. I miss it!

I was so excited when I found out that you did this song! Thank you. You sang it so tenderly. I look forward to listening to this song many times, especially when I want to feel things deeply. This song speaks to my heart and opens my soul. I cried and cried when I heard this.I long for my daughter, Crystal! Thank you Karen. I like your version of it better than Miranda's because you sing it with a simple tenderness and feeling.

I've never heard this song before. It's beautiful. And, of course, your rendition was incredible. You do soft country well.

This is beautiful.
