gimme gimme gimme

A whole week of 8-3 with just me and my thoughts. My little kiddos left last week, but I was under contract until today. Lots of paper work, licensing business, and reading through IEP files. It seems weird to be missing my students and already planning for the new ones. But I remember feeling the same way at this time last year, and things turned out just fine.

Now I am looking forward to the first Summer in three years without classes or work.

Give me a road trip with the family.
Give me three days in Chicago.
Give me lunch with an old high school friend.
Give me snuggle time with my new little nephew.
Give me seafood and warm beaches and late games with my siblings.

This summer of All Things Good has been a long time in coming for you but SO well deserved. I hope you love every minute.

I like the new look here. I have been unable to leave comments lately. It seems to be okay now.

I hope you get to enjoy all the items on your summer list and lots more too.

When are you in Chicago? We'll be there July 26-Aug 1.

And enjoy your summer...it sounds delicious.

It is bitter sweet to see the school year come to an end. As ready as I am for the summer break, where our days are already filling up with things to do. I know I will miss working with my students.

I surely wish some of those beaches were here in the SF bay area. I am so happy for you that you are getting a real break, though. Savor it!

May your summer go as slow and last as long as it did when you were 7 years old...

Warm beaches. Oh, you had me there. I forget how wild and full and "pulling" the ocean is. Standing there as it sucks the sand from beneath your feet and draws away--it's transcendent.

Love the new look and I'm so glad you'll have a fun, care-free summer. Enjoy your time away!

I'll take the seafood and warm beaches any time. Have a wonderful summer. You deserve it.

I am honestly delighted for you.

you have EARNED this summer! Enjoy it to the hilt!

Hmm, suddenly that phrase seems odd to me, mostly because the only "hilt" I'm familiar with is on a sword... and I can't imagine enjoying a sword all the way up to the hilt...

okay, my random thought isn't helping...

enjoy it to the fullest.

nothing odd about that one :)
