temporary karma
She turned 22 yesterday, so Geo and I headed to their apartment to take the lovebirds out to dinner. We were a little early, and I had been carting around my birthday cash for a couple of weeks, so I went into the Karma Boutique. A little burning going on in my pocket(book).
After the overly-friendly saleslady told me I could have 20% off of a single purchase, I found this handmade purse made with soft fabrics and beads and awesome colors. The girly girl came out in me and, after running out to the car to grab my money, G followed me into the boutique to buy it. I even asked him to help me choose between a few.
It was nice to spend the day together.
Sometimes Saturdays are about what you do, and sometimes they are about what you don't do.
Today I didn't fold laundry.
I didn't weed the flower bed. I didn't help the boys clean their rooms.
I didn't obsess about the potential home we lost this week.
I didn't do a lot of things.
But I did go to Zumba and then spend the rest of the day with my husband.
When I dig my keys out of the bottom of my new purse I will be remembering that.

Sounds like exactly the right attitude!!
So which one did you choose? They're both fabulous purses. Sounds like a productive Saturday to me.
Sounds like a fun day. And cute purses!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE your Karma. Happy Mother's Day.
What a fun day. Sometimes we do have to celebrate the things we "didn't" do. I love those purses. I'm a sucker for purses and want a new one now. :)
I hope you bought the red one.
I love 'Just Be' purses and bags. I have a few of them. Are you familiar with 'Just Be' bags? She does such great work. Occasionally she has open houses at her home. I went to one last year. She lives in an old church. Here is her blog to see other beautiful bags.

I think your Saturday sounds perfect. I find myself thinking that I have to have everything done before I can enjoy a casual Saturday. Sometimes things just have to wait and playing must happen. It is the best refresher for me.
Sorry about the house..and this rambling long comment :)
Love the purses! Happy mama's day to you.
I love those Saturdays with my husband. I'd rather be with him, wandering through the library or readIng on the patio, than just about anything else in the whole world. And those purses are AWESOME!!!
Karma loves you!! and I love the purse :)
Which one?????
I love them both, hopefully got both.
Sounds like a great time!
Those are such cute purses. I need a new one. I want to know which one you picked,so I can go buy the other. :)
Love. Both purses (or is that a front-back shot?) and the idea of spending the day together. Not doing laundry.
Sounds like a wonderful Saturday. Just wondering which purse you bought.
That was the front and back of the same purse. :)
I love those purses...I love funky stuff like that. I am glad you had a good day. It is fun and necessary to sometimes leave the mundane behind and Just Be.
I had a friend a long time ago, who couldn't do anything spontaneous. Like we'd invite her to lunch, and she'd say, oh I can't that's the day I mop floors.

Now...go buy some sassy shoes to go with the purse.
OOh...loving the first one especially! I'm glad you splurged on it!
PS: You look amazing!
I'm not into shoes or jewelry, but purses? Oh Boy! It all started 2 years ago when I went from typical black to color and bling! So much fun!
I LOVE the purse!! (and your attitude, of course :)
