day 334: moody with a chance of rain

Mrs. Burton, is it raining?  Mrs. Burton, look out the window.  Look!  Is it?  Is it?

I had my back to the window and tried to move ahead with my lesson, but he wouldn't let it go.  So finally I turned around and took a peek.  No rain, but a murky sky with a luke-warm wind that was blowing the huge flag, in a half-hearted way.  And I thought of my sometimes state-of-mind.  Half commited to what needs to get done, but my mind elsewhere, often.  Half blowing the flag.

Sometimes the best thing (often times the best thing) is a good storm.  Clean out the air.  Get the cool wind blowing.

So I had me a storm today.  Rainy eyes.  And I feel better now.  :)

Love your description--"rainy eyes"...a good storm does clear the air sometimes.

Every one needs a good cry sometimes, it helps clear the air and the view. Hope you are okay.

I hope you get a rainbow tomorrow.

I love a good storm! Even the emotional ones. A really intense cry is so cathartic. So cleansing.

Hope it helped.

Love you! I had me one of those days on Monday, as you can tell from the blog post that made you laugh. :)

Sometimes a good storm does clear out the gloomy stuff. Whew. Then fresh and clear is so enjoyable.

Great description. You are such a good writer who is able to help the reader visualize and capture what you're feeling. I agree with you on rainy eyes and stormy days being a good way to clear the air.

Glad you're feeling better after the storm. I don't like it when the storms knock out the power! Hate sitting in a corner unable to function.
Great description.

Such a poet.

I don't know whether to be sad or glad over your rainy eyes. Definitely glad for the clarity on the other side.

Storms can wash everything away. (in a good way) But maybe you already know that.

I had some good tears running last week. This week, it's a little dryer ground.

I actually look forward to my daily "cleansing of rainy eyes." It always makes my days go better and plus I'm able to see the rainbow at the end.
