day thirty-six: explosion

My people come from the Azores, which is a group of small islands one-thousand miles off the European coast. Volcanic islands. Exploding magma from cracks in the ocean floor. Spitting up future farms, mountains, and coastlines. Lush. Green.

I am a volcano. It is where I come from. It is in me. I am creating. I am raw materials.

Boom.

Sometimes I think of myself as a volcano, but more in the destructive sense than in the creating lush new life sense. LOL. :)

I like this.

A LOT.

Destructive, energetic creation ... that might be my theme today ...

I have never considered my ancestors' terrain as impacting my heart and soul, but I'm sure you're right. It makes sense somehow. There's something sort of primal about it.

The volcanic eruption as a metaphor for creative juices bubbling over is wonderful.
