day ninety- eight: four hours in a booth

I met up with three of my friends from my old BYU days today. I ate chipotle chicken penne and sourdough bread and talked and laughed and remembered. It was like yesterday with lots of new things (read: husbands and kids) thrown into the mix.

I am such a sucker for nostalgia. Really. An easy mark.

your mother and i understand this well. we can easily spend three hours every few weeks just talking... we talk about ourselves, husbands, children, grandchildren and anything else that comes to mind. women need a lot of download time and we just don't get it often enough.

Stuff like that is so fun to do! My college friends are ones who have been there for everything--even if they were far away.

Did you get together with Penny and your roommmates from Moon apts? :)

Hmm. I've done that several times myself. The awesome thing is that usually, we don't know it's been four hours until it's all done, and then I feel a little bad for the waiters.

Remember that April day soooooo long, long, long ago (ahem, earlier this year) when I got to meet you? Yeah, nostalgia is good.
