day 117: pay day
There are days when it is hard to imagine feeling any better about your life. The birth of a healthy baby. Landing the job you have always wanted. Today was a day like that for me. A day where I got to hear my oldest son speak about things of God that mattered to him, and how people he met in Africa, and experiences he had there helped to shape his testimony of the gospel of Christ. Here are some photos from the day as we celebrated, with a couple of other ones thrown in.

His talk was very inspiring. I felt like I was listening to a General Authority.
Great pictures of the day and of the airport.
You're right - it is pay day.
I think of the scripture in 3 John that I have on my wall:
"I have no greater joy than to know my children walk in truth"
Cherish this day.
Nope. Days don't get much better than this. :)
I will cherish it, thanks. Now onto the next boy. :)
We prayed for him hundreds of times over these last two years. What an amazing young man he has become. I am so happy that he was returned to you safely. I am glad you are whole again.
Oh how lovely!
Hooray for homecomings! What a wonderful thing to have happen right before Christmas:)
How fun to hear about it and all that he learned, did, how he grew, etc. Such an exciting time for him (and you). :)
What a powerful testimony. I was blessed to hear Elder Burton speak. It made me think about my son in Paraguay and how his homecoming talk will be on his return. What fun to see the progression and spiritual growth. You are blessed my friend.
Wow. I'm an anxiously awaiting one of those days--being as that I'm still in the "they-can't-sit-still-in-sacrement" stage.
I wish I could have been there for his talk. I'm so happy for you!!
