day 314: my charge

His stomach hurts when he feels like he can't finish his work on time.

He stares up at the ceiling when I give directions.

He sighs a little when he has to turn his point card over.

He uses language that is inappropriate at least once a day.

When I tell him he is a good reader, he says he even reads in his dreams.

He is my student, and I like him. A lot.

Tender. Little boys like that can melt your heart.

Boys! No matter how naughty they are, they always manage to worm their way into your heart.

Ah, the days of being a student and the pressures to perform and learn and complete something. What a dear young boy. Give him a high five from me.

You must be a really good teacher for him to be able to tell you about his dreams...

It's fun to see the different personalities of the children. Some you can really get attached to. Hope the practicum is going well and is about over!

So sweet.
I love that you love those that struggle.
You are an angel.

I am sure you can relate, Barb. Thanks.

I always want to scream out (having a couple of difficult boys myself), "If you just love them a little, they will love you back with all their tender heart!"

Thank you for being someone who can love the harder boys.
