Respect the stupor.

This is a mantra my husband learned to live by when he was bishop of our ward and sometimes faced times when it seemed like he was not getting answers.

A stupor as an answer.  Think it's possible?

I think a stupor can be the best answer sometimes, especially when it causes you to stop and try a new direction.

Isn't a stupor of thought the scriptural definition of a negative answer? I'll have to go look that up. I think you're exactly right in your comment here.

More than possible. That's how most of my answers come.

A stupor of thought can be frustrating when we're impatient. However, it can keep us from jumping when we shouldn't and be more aware of our situation.

yup, sometimes you just have to let it all mellow for awhile.....

Absolutely. The stupor is the easiest to recognize, for me, even if it may be pretty hard to accept. Because, you know, it means NO. And NO isn't what I"m looking for.
Ever.

Yeah, it's for a reason.

Totally possible! Of course, I usually have to get said stupor 3 times before I realize what's happening, or rather, not happening.

Interesting post Kazzy.

I've never thought of respecting the stupor.

But ya, definitely. It is an answer isn't it?

A stupor is a decision to not answer. If that is where the person is in life and that is what they choose to do then it must be okay.

My problem is that I spend a lot of time thinking that it isn't a stupor, it's a righteousness deficiency. It takes me a while to get to "maybe this is the answer."

I think it's possible, yes.

yep....now I am understanding this stupor I am in currently.

And here I am trying to do what many would call impossible. But all things are possible if it is expedient. For me, that's the key word--expedient.
