looking at my hand

The other day I came home after work and crashed, which I do sometimes after a long day with the special kiddos. When I woke up I stretched my vision down my arm and looked at my hand. Totally relaxed, it was slightly curled and wanting to grasp. To hold on. To offer something.

I find it interesting that a hand at rest is not wide open and stiff, but soft and curved. No deep thoughts beyond that. An observation of my God-created body.

It is always interesting the everyday things you notice when you are relaxed and can take a minute to look around.

Most insightful.
You are right, a relaxed hand is inviting.

Love it.

Yes, you are right, but my eye caught your nicely painted fingernails. :)

This post made me realize -- I need to be more observant.. and relax a little more. For reals.

I also love the color on your nails. Hope your hands can stay relaxed with your little kiddos.

You're always serving, giving, doing for others. It's good that your hands could relax for just a bit!

Very cool ... beautiful thought.

I love that you took a minute to make this observation. Looking at my hand. It is partially covered in fingernail polish from a horrendous toddler incident earlier in the day.

I always find that interesting too...especially while I am running or some such.

You have very nice hands, I must say. :)

gosh, there is a lot of stuff to think about...with a sleeping hand.
I'll have to peek out of my sleepy eyes one of these times and see what Mine is doing.
It is kind of getting to be a knarled crooked thing.
hey...you even had painted nails.
