day thirty-eight: sleep lines

I talk in my sleep, so I've been told.

I have always just believed my husband when he tells me I mumble and go on and on. I have never questioned him when he has told me that I laugh in my sleep, and sometimes even cry a little bit. I have chosen to believe that maybe I am just a dynamic person that can't squeeze enough living into my waking hours, so they spill into my sleeping ones as well.

And he snores. My husband, that is.

He takes my word for it. A few times he has woken himself up snorting his own little accidental alarm, but for some reason he can never remember that in the morning. He laughs when I imitate his little sounds and gurglings. A couple of times I have grabbed my cell phone from the night stand in an attempt to record the evidence, but he either stops right when I finally find the voice record option, or I am choking down laughing so hard that I can't get any accurate data.

But hours later I wake up and see that there he is. My friend. My confidant. And I know that even with our quirks, we fit together.

Now, if I can only figure out a way to tell him to roll over as I talk in my sleep...

My husband used to talk in his sleep. He hasn't done it in a long time, but one time he scared me half to death because he grabbed me and was asking all panicked what I did with the checkbook. LOL

It's nice that you can get used to that kind of sleeping...my dad is a loud snorer, but my mom says she can't sleep without it now. weird.

My husband believes me about his snoring only because he can remember waking himself up many, many times. Usually, a noise machine on my side of the bed is all it takes for a good night's sleep, but when I'm pregnant like now, sometimes I have to sneak into my son's empty bottom bunk to get any shut eye. But then I miss my husband.

There is a security in having my noisy sleeper next to me!
I believe you would laugh in your sleep. You see the good things in life and can easily laugh with others.

If you could figure out how to do that (tell your husband in your sleep to roll over), you would be a millionaire!

My husband is like you--talking, laughing, crying, RUNNING in his sleep. It drives me crazy. (Oops, sorry! Nothing personal.) Really, it isn't that bad. It's the times he is dreaming a bad guy is trying to get him and he takes a swing. So far, only one slightly black eye in 23 years of marriage isn't too much to complain of, right?

All my old roommates told me I laugh in my sleep as well.
And all my new roommates don't let me sleep.

Snorers are fun.

It looks like I've missed a lot. I'm trying to catch up on your posts and I'm leaving a comment on this one becasue it made me smile :-)
